Test phone/device charging
Has this ever happened to you? The cable just wears out. These little buggers are used as often as keys to our cars, our toothbrushes and sadly WAY more often than our vacuums. These little guys wear out our batteries and often force us unnecessarily to be tether to our a cord. Your phone is wireless isn't it?
Step 1 -- Buy a tester
Yes, yes. I am exactly like you. When someone says I need to buy something I try to figure out another way. You are going to buy another cord anyway why not buy this.
This little guy will cost you 6 bucks and will save you a lifetime of hassle and money. Just do it.
Here is what it can tell you.
Step 2 -- Use the tester
I do hope its usage is straight forward. Plug the tester into your usb charger and the charge cable plugs into it. Its works in your car too!
The current meter here can tell you how fast your phone is charging (mostly). Not all chargers are equal. There are not many reasons to have a charger that provides less than 2amps at 5 volts. You may not always get that reading for your phone or device but there are more links in the chain.
This can give you an idea of your cord condition and a myriad of different diagnostic indicators.
Step 3 -- Battery is bad
Devices these days have excellent batteries with excellent charging and management. When you purchase a device make sure to check battery life. When the battery life is long it can often give ideas of other things like software/hardware efficiency.
Conclusion --
USB has grown past ubiquitous. It has become THE choice of electronics manufacturers providing 5 volts to everything. Our cat feeder runs on USB! Your electronics manufacturer uses it to save money and not provide you with the converter. So, make sure to use this little tester for all things USB. ITS WORTH IT.
cool! my charger works fine but I still want one
